CATCH THEM YOUNG roard Swami Chinmayananda. The Divine vision of Poojya Gurudev is that the message of Lord Krishna – Srimad Bhagavad Gita should reach school children at their tender age. This Noble command of Gurudev is meticulously executed worldwide by Chinmaya Mission.

Chinmaya Mission Madurai has been conducting Gita Chanting competition regularly for the past 20 years. Every year nearly 12,500 children from more than 40 schools in and around Madurai participate in the competition. Every year particular Chapter is chosen for the competition and the sevaks are trained at Chinmaya Mission. The School coordinators are invited to the Madurai Mission Centre and an orientation program is arranged for them.

Children are divided into five Groups from L.K.G to 9th Standard according to the portions. They are provided with a Gita Book and Learning CD for practice. Chinmaya Devi Group visit the schools to train the children.

Primary level competitions are conducted at School level and students selected will compete in the District level finals.

Gold coins, Wrist watches, Gifts and Certificates are given as Prizes to motivate the children. Competition for parents also are conducted and prizes are given.

This Competition has been appreciated and supported well by one and all. Past 20 year Chinmaya Mission Madurai has trained more than One Lakh children to recite Bhagavad Gita over the past twenty years.
