Jnana Yajna

Jnana Yajna

Vedas are the source of all Knowledge. The core and culmination of all Vedic Knowledge is Vedanta. This Knowledge alone removes our ignorance and leads us to understand what really we are. Jnana yajnas are the most divine and principal activities through which Chinmaya Mission disseminates this man-making knowledge of Vedanta.

These are five to seven day series of public discourses on Vedantic scriptures. Selected Chapters of Bhagavad Gita are taken in the evening. Upanishads and other vedantic texts are taken generally in the morning. These yajnas are regularly organized at Chinmaya Mission Madurai by the Resident Swamiji and other visiting Swamijis.

Pujya Gurudev conducted three jnana yajnas at Madurai and Pujya Guruji Tejomayanandaji also conducted three yajnas at this temple town.
